Dragonfruit green tea

This dragonfruit green tea with passionfruit and lime is my answer to the 3 pm slump. It’s my way of bringing a little magic to the late afternoon when you might need it the most.

I just brew green tea and blend it with dragonfruit, passionfruit, lime, agave syrup and celtic salt! It takes the earthiness off the green tea and the sweetness is subtle. Though it’s highly customizable — make it sweeter or more tart if you like.

Ingredients:

4 green tea bags

1 fresh dragonfruit, or 2 cups frozen dragonfruit

1 passionfruit, or a couple of passionfruit frozen cubes

1 lime, juiced

1/2 cup agave syrup

pinch of Celtic salt, optional

Method:

brew green tea concentrate: add green tea bags to a heat proof bowl or measuring cup and pour over 750ml of hot, boiling water. Let steep for at least 30 mins, but overnight in the fridge is best.

blend: cut open dragonfruit and slice the inside fruit into cubes and empty the fruit into a blender. Add passionfruit pulp, lime juice, Celtic salt and agave syrup. Pour in the green tea, discarding the tea bags. Blend at high speed for a minute or two, just until the fruit is blended thoroughly.

strain: using a fine mesh strainer, or a nut milk bag, into a jug and keep in the fridge! Enjoy <3
